Trendy became a champion whilst only a puppy, a
beautiful gold colour with a dynamite
personality and non stop showman. He started to
win the minute his paws touched the first
showground from baby through to puppy and then
on to his first best in show. At 22 months of
age he won the Australian Bred Class at the 4th
Sheltie National, being beaten by his mother for
Australian Bred In Show. Then disaster struck,
he was poisoned at a dog show by persons
unknown, who had put antifreeze into his
waterdish. No stone was left unturned to
try and save him but it was not to be as his
kidneys were too badly damaged. Trendy had his
grand championship before he died in November
but as he was at the Rainbow Bridge he could not
obtain the extra one that he needed in January.
