Welshie came to us as a puppy and arrived in
Australia limping very badly on one of his front
legs. Veterinary treatment soon improved this
and we took him to several shows where he won
the puppy in groups and a puppy in show.
However, he started to limp again and after
x-rays showed that he had a chip of bone
floating around his front knee, he was operated
on. This was only successful for a short amount
of time but Welshie was never bothered by it
himself, it was only when he was put under
pressure in the showing to move fast. We retired
him to stud work where he produced thirteen
shelbrae champions and title of ROMA. Welshie was well known for his love of kissing
people and if unawares you would be given a
rather wet tongue kiss.
